Respite Service provides a break for unpaid caregivers living in the same home as the person they are caring for. The care recipient must need 24/7 care or supervision to qualify for adult day or in-home respite care, which is provided by trained respite staff.
In addition, if the care recipient is able to attend to their own personal hygiene, the Senior Companion Respite Program may be available.
Respite services are provided at no cost. The care recipient must have physical or cognitive deficits that prevent them from being left home alone or unattended.
