Adult Protection Services
Adult Protection Services is responsible for investigating allegations of abuse, neglect and exploitation against vulnerable disabled and senior populations. A vulnerable person is one who is unable to protect themselves due to a physical or mental impairment that affects their judgment or behavior. For more information, click here [PDF].
Emergency Preparedness
The agency has a specific plan as to how they will handle emergencies, whether it relates to maintaining the functions of the office, providing services within the community, or coordinating with Emergency staff at the individual counties. Nursing & Assisted Living Residents
Staff and volunteers visit residents of skilled nursing facilities and assisted living centers. Residents have rights [PDF] and are not always able to stand up for their rights without the help of an advocate.
