About Us

The Area Agency on Aging of North Idaho (AAANI), headquartered in Coeur d’Alene is one of four Area Agencies in Idaho. Part of a nationwide aging network created through the Older Americans Act, each of the Area Agencies has volunteer commissioners appointed by the governor through the Idaho Commission on Aging (ICOA).

Our commissioners are Amy Bartoo and Dennis Ohrtman. The focus of the AAANI is on helping people stay independent and contributing members of their community

Mission

Our mission is to work in partnership with older adults, families and the community to provide information and support to maximize independence and quality of life.

Funding

The Area Agency on Aging receives federal funding from the Administration for Community Living which is distributed through the Idaho Commission on Aging (ICOA).
