North Idaho Senior Assistance
Area
Agency on Aging (AAA) is the officially
designated agency for Benewah, Bonner, Boundary, Kootenai and
Shoshone Counties. We are part of a nationwide aging network and one of six
Area Agencies on Aging in Idaho, created through the Older Americans Act.
Planning activities and coordination of services focus on keeping people 60
years of age or older independent and contributing members of their
community.

Senior
Community Support Services
Learn more throughout this website about the network of services available
in northern Idaho. Topics include: adult protection from abuse and neglect,
senior centers for recreational purposes, legal advice regarding
non-criminal matters, advocacy regarding nursing homes and assisted living,
challenges of grandparenting, and transportation when driving is no longer
an option.
In-Home Assistance for Elderly
If you or a loved one is in need of support services in your home, this
website may have answers to your questions. Topics include: managing care
when multiple services are needed, help with the household through homemaker
services, assistance with bathing, a break or respite for 24 hour
caregivers, home delivered meals.
