North Idaho Senior Assistance

Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is the officially designated agency for Benewah, Bonner, Boundary, Kootenai and Shoshone Counties. We are part of a nationwide aging network and one of six Area Agencies on Aging in Idaho, created through the Older Americans Act. Planning activities and coordination of services focus on keeping people 60 years of age or older independent and contributing members of their community.

Included in this website are links to other organizations in Idaho and the nation that may be of interest to you.

 

Senior Community Support Services

Learn more about the network of services available in northern Idaho. Topics include: adult protection from abuse and neglect, senior centers for recreational purposes, legal advice regarding non-criminal matters, advocacy regarding nursing homes and assisted living, challenges of grandparenting, and transportation when driving is no longer an option.

In-Home Assistance for Elderly

If you or a loved one is in need of support services in your home, this website may have answers to your questions.
